The acting agency is headed by an agent manager and the lowest rung is occupied by the scouts and bookers. The bookers organise auditions and try to market the actors from the pool of the agency. The scouts are out looking for new talented actors at all the various venues - in theatres and all the way to school productions. They're out looking for the new stars of the future. In addition, it's hard to know whether a smaller acting agency is even reputable and honest.
